STMicroelectronics STEVAL-SID140V1 Isolated Thyristors Driver
STMicroelectronics STEVAL-SID140V1 Isolated Thyristors Driver evaluates insulated control of thyristor SCRs with the STSID140-12 driver in an AC solid-state relay. The board is designed with two TN5015H-8G SCRs in a back-to-back configuration, enabling an AC load driving up to 4A from the line. The STSID140-12 provides 40mA output current to drive the SCR gate without an additional high-voltage power supply.
The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-SID140V1 Driver employs a galvanic-insulated inductive barrier with a 1250VRMS insulation-voltage rating and a 3.9mm creepage distance for functional insulation applications. The board includes an AC mains zero-cross-triggering option, 5-pin low-voltage connectors for MCU control, and two high-voltage connectors for load and line connections. The evaluation board is ideal for heating control, induction motor control, and residential smart plug applications.
