Die Microchip Technology MCP3428-Serie umfasst geräuscharme, hochgenaue 16-Bit Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) Analog-Digital-Wandler (ADCs) mit einer I²C-Schnittstelle und integrierten Referenz. Die MCP3428 ADCs verfügen über vier differentielle Eingangskanäle. Die integrierte 2,048V Referenzspannung ermöglicht einen differentiellen Eingangsbereich von ± 2,048V (Endwertbereich =4,096/PGA). MCP3428 ADCs können Analog-Digital-Umwandlungsergebnisse von 15 (16-Bit-Modus), 60 (14-Bit-Modus) oder 240 (12-Bit-Modus) Raten pro Sekunde ausgeben. Diese Rate basiert auf den vom Benutzer steuerbaren Bit-Konfigurationseinstellungen. Benutzer können die Einstellungen mit der zweidrahtigen seriellen I²C-Schnittstelle vornehmen. Während jeder Umwandlung kalibrieren die MCP3428 ADCs die Offset- und Verstärkungsfehler automatisch. The on-board 2.048V reference voltage enables an input range of ±2.048V differentially (full scale range =4.096/PGA). These devices can output analog-to-digital conversion results with rates of 15 (16-bit mode), 60 (14-bit mode), or 240 (12-bit mode) Samples per Second (SPS). The rate is based on the user-controllable configuration bit settings. Users can specify the settings with the two-wire I2C serial interface. During each conversion, these  Analog-to-Digital Converters calibrate offset and gain errors automatically. This provides accurate conversion results from conversion to conversion over variations in temperature and power supply fluctuations.

The MCP3426 is available in 8-pin SOIC, DFN, and MSOP packages. The MCP3427 is available in 10-pin DFN and MSOP packages. The MCP3428 is available in 14-pin SOIC and TSSOP packages.
