Der 1,5 A-LED-Treiber AL8861 von Diodes Incorporated ist ein Hysterese-Modus-DC-DC-Abwärtswandler, der zum effizienten Ansteuern einzelner oder mehrerer reihengeschalteter LEDs von einer Spannungsquelle, die höher als die LED-Spannung ist, ausgelegt ist. Der LED-Treiber AL8861 wird mit einer Eingangsversorgung zwischen 4,5 V und 40 V betrieben und unterstützt eine Vielzahl von Applikationen. Je nach Eingangsspannung und externen Komponenten, liefert der AL8861 bis zu 40 W Ausgangsleistung. Der AL8861 LED-Treiber wird für Design-Flexibilität in den Gehäusen TSOT2, MSOP-8EP und SOT89-5 angeboten.

For increased robustness, the AL8861’s Power switch incorporates short-circuit current protection. Dimming can be realized by applying an external control signal to the VSET pin. The VSET pin accepts either a DC voltage signal or a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal. The AL8861 LED Driver is offered in TSOT25, MSOP-8EP, and SOT89-5 packages for design flexibility.
