Grinn GenioSOM-700 System-on-Module (SoM) is a high‑performance SoM engineered for advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI), multimedia, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The Grinn GenioSOM-700 is built around the powerful MediaTek MT8390 IoT processor. The SoM combines a dual‑core Arm® Cortex®‑A78 with a hexa‑core Cortex‑A55 CPU cluster, delivering a balance of high compute performance and energy‑efficient multitasking. To support demanding visual and AI workloads, the module integrates an Arm Mali™‑G57 MC3 GPU with modern graphics API support (Vulkan® 1.1, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL™ 2.2) and a Cadence® Tensilica® VP6 AI Processor Unit, enabling efficient on‑device machine learning acceleration. The device's multimedia engine supports 4K video encoding at 30fps and 4K video decoding up to 75fps across major formats, including AV1, VP9, HEVC, and H.264. The image pipeline allows high‑resolution capture up to 32MP single‑camera or dual 16MP setups, making the GenioSOM-700 well‑suited for computer vision tasks.

The Grinn GenioSOM‑700 provides flexible memory and storage configurations, featuring 2x 2GB LPDDR4 RAM (with optional 2x 4GB) and 16GB eMMC expandable up to 64GB, ensuring smooth handling of data‑intensive applications. The compact 37mm × 42.6mm LGA312 form factor allows easy integration into space‑constrained designs. The module offers a rich set of high‑speed interfaces (including USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, PCIe 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet MAC, UART, I2C/I3C, SPI, and up to 143 GPIOs), along with extensive display and camera connectivity such as HDMI 2.0, DP 1.4, eDP 1.4, MIPI‑DSI, and dual MIPI‑CSI‑2. With the combination of compute power, AI acceleration, multimedia capabilities, and versatile I/O, the Grinn GenioSOM‑700 serves as a robust platform for smart home devices, industrial automation, multimedia systems, and edge‑AI computer vision solutions.
