Melexis MLX92344 2-Wire 2-Bit Switches
Melexis MLX92344 2-Wire 2-Bit Programmable Latch and Switches are a monolithic sensor IC for contactless detection of up to four positions over a standard 2-wire interface. The devices sense perpendicular or lateral magnetic fields and replace bulky microswitches, dual-sensor layouts, or multi-switch configurations in automotive body electronics.
The Melexis MLX92344 2-Wire 2-Bit Programmable Latch and Switches provide independently programmable output current states, dual magnetic threshold pairs, and magnetic latch, unipolar switch, or omnipolar switch operation. The devices also support End-of-Line programming, allowing manufacturers to compensate for mechanical assembly tolerances during production and improve sensing accuracy.
The MLX92344 is developed as a Safety Element out of Context according to ISO 26262 ASIL B and includes integrated self-diagnostics that activate a dedicated safe state during fault conditions. Applications include seat track position monitoring, e-frunk and front hood latch locking, steering column extension detection, smart charging port doors, soft-closing door systems, robotics, smart appliances, smart buildings, and energy management systems.
