MSA Safety FieldServer BACnet Router

MSA Safety FieldServer BACnet Router provides stand-alone routing between BACnet networks like BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, and BACnet MS/TP networks. This feature helps the system integrator mix BACnet network technologies within a single BACnet internetwork and provides a secure cloud connection. MSA Safety FS-Router-BAC2 router includes one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port and two RS-485 MS/TP ports, enabling up to 64 BACnet MS/TP devices to connect without additional line drivers. Compared with a single port router, the dual port router halves device response time by distributing devices over the two RS-485 ports. The FieldServer BACnet router has an easy one-page configuration, simplifying installation. The FS-Router-BAC2 router has been certified by BTL to ensure the highest standard for BACnet integration.

Features

  • BACnet Explorer discovers devices connected to the FS BACnet Router
  • Web-based configuration with no additional software
  • NAT support with secondary BACnet/IP connection for routing between public and private IP networks
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to automatically obtain the IP setting from the network
  • Foreign Device Registration (FDR), exposing up to 147 device details on different subnets
  • SMC Cloud registration connects the devices to the cloud, allows secure remote access for diagnostics, monitoring, alarming and configuration
  • Medium Dependent Interface Crossover (MDIX) uses Ethernet cable for commissioning and installation
  • BACnet Broadcast Management Device (BBMD) connects between different subnets supported on the Broadcast Distribution Table (BDT)
  • Multiple BACnet routing connections
    • BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP
    • BACnet MS/TP and BACnet Ethernet
    • BACnet MS/TP and BACnet MS/TP
