Texas Instruments ISOTMP35R/-Q1 Analog Temperature Sensors

Texas Instruments ISOTMP35R/-Q1 Analog Temperature Sensors are reinforced isolated temperature sensor ICs that combine an integrated isolation barrier with an analog temperature output. The sensors are designed for co-location with high-voltage heat sources such as power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and busbars, helping eliminate the need for external isolation amplifiers or isolated data converters.

The ISOTMP35R/-Q1 features a 10mV/°C positive output slope, a 500mV offset at 0°C, and a fast thermal response time of less than 4s. The TI ISOTMP35R/-Q1 Analog Temperature Sensors operate from a wide 3.1V to 34V supply range, support a 1.06kVRMS working voltage, and provide 5kVRMS reinforced isolation for high-voltage temperature measurement applications.

The ISOTMP35R is intended for industrial and power-supply applications, while ISOTMP35R-Q1 adds automotive qualification and documentation to aid functional safety system design. Both devices are available in a 12-pin SSOP surface-mount package that supports heat flow from the heat source to the embedded thermal sensor, helping improve heat-source measurement and reduce thermal modeling effort.
