Texas Instruments TPS561300 Step-Down Converter
Texas Instruments TPS561300 Step-Down Converter is a 4.5V to 30V input, 1A synchronous buck converter designed for compact, EMI-friendly DC/DC power conversion. The device integrates two switching FETs, internal loop compensation, and a 5ms internal soft start to reduce external component count and support a small PCB footprint.
The TPS561300 uses pulse-frequency modulation for high light-load efficiency and employs frequency-spread spectrum to reduce EMI. The TI TPS561300 Step-Down Converter also uses peak current mode control, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, low-side MOSFET freewheeling current limiting, and hiccup mode protection to support reliable operation during overload conditions.
The converter is ideal for 12V and 24V distributed power-bus supplies, industrial applications, white goods, audio equipment, set-top boxes, digital televisions, and printers. The TPS561300 is available in an SOT-23 package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C.
