Der Texas Instruments TPS65982 USB Typ-C und Stromversorgungs-Controller bietet beim USB Typ-C Steckverbinder eine Kabelstecker- und Ausrichtungserfassung. Nach Erfassung des Kabels verbindet sich der TPS65982 über das CC-Kabel mit einem USB-PD-Protokoll. Wenn die Kabelerfassung und die USB-PD-Aushandlung abgeschlossen ist, aktiviert der TPS65982 den geeigneten Leistungspfad und konfiguriert Alternate-Modus-Einstellungen für interne und (optionale) externe Multiplexer. Das Mischsignal-Front-End auf den CC-Kontakten zeigt die standardmäßigen (500mA) 1,5A oder 3A für Typ-C-Leistungsquellen an. Es erkennt ein Plug-Ereignis und legt die USB Typ-C Kabelausrichtung fest. Außerdem handelt es USB-PD-Kontrakte eigenständig aus, indem es die spezifizierten Zweiphasenmarkierungscodierung (BMC) und das Physical-Layer-Prokoll (PHY) befolgt.

    • 3.3V LDO output for dead battery support
